About Stephanie O'Dea

Stephanie O’Dea is a New York Times best selling author, award-winning blogger, and a mom of three. O’Dea likes shortcuts. A LOT. She shared her number one cooking shortcut in 2008 when she made a New Year’s Resolution to use her Crock-Pot slow cooker everyday for a year and write about it on the Internet. Her award-winning blog, A Year of Slow Cooking has had more than 8 million visitors from all over the world. In 2009, O’Dea launched Totally Together Journal, where she shares her housekeeping shortcuts. Her Daily 7 For A Highly Successful Household and her decluttering acronym, PROM (purge, remove, organize, maintain) have helped thousands of moms streamline their homes. Her first book, Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: The Big Book of Everyday Slow Cooking spent six weeks on the New York Times best-seller list. Her second book is More Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: 200 Brand New Recipes for Slow Cooker Meals on a Budget. Her third book, which will be published next year, tackles how to organize a busy household so that anyone can have “a tidy and tranquil home in just minutes a day.” The format for this book will be a weekly organizational planner based on her Totally Together Journal website. She has appeared on Good Morning America, The Rachael Ray Show, featured in Real Simple Magazine, Woman’s World, and Oprah.com. For a more comprehensive press listing, visit stephanieodea.com.
