About Monique
I blog part time. I'm a wife, a mom and licenced esthetician. My life is busy and to to the outside world is not glamorous in the slightest. but, because of my love of products and fashion, I incorporate a little bit of it into my daily life-- I never leave the house without being fully dressed and made up! I find writing to be a great outlet, hence the blog. I also love to read, shop, exercise, cook, watch old movies, and spend time with my friends and family-- who, surprisingl,y still don't really understand what blogging is.

About Beauty Girl Musings
I think my blog is succesful because I have a background in skincare and makeup (I am a licensed esthetician), but I don`t overload readers with long posts about ingredients and what they do, but rather share little bites here and there. I also don`t get wrapped up in who is doing what. I do read many other beauty blogs, and find inspiration from them, but I don`t try to keep up or do everything that they are doing. I think that staying true to myself, sharing products I love and focusing on the quality of each post keeps readers coming back.
History of the blog
Beauty Girl Musings was started simply as an outlet to share what I was liking in terms of beauty, fashion, health and on occasion, my life. I found that beauty products became a larger part of what I blogged about and that was fine-- I love them! Soon I reached out to a couple of fellow bloggers and they helped guide me in the right direction. I joined Total Beauty, and it was, basically, all up hill from there.
Future plans for the blog
I have started a YouTube channel which focuses on product reviews. I have featured very few tutorial videos, but would like to incorporate more of those in the near future. I also would like to feature more outings and coverage of events which I am attending more of lately.
