About Eileen Dautruche

I am a twenty something girl who lives in Brooklyn. I blog full time- 24/7! I became a beauty and fashion blogger because I love sharing my thoughts on the industry. I'm constantly sharing, giving advice and trying to learn more so it's only natural for me to create a blog. Before I started my blog in 2007, I was a college student who worked in retail. The blog has progressed with me throughout my college career. In addition to blogging, I am pursuing a career in public relations.

About MissWhoever You Are

I write for young women who are interested in mainstream companies in addition to indie brands. Written in a conversational tone, MissWhoever You Are provides a fresh outlook on what is going on in the beauty and fashion world. Copy/pasting press releases is STRICTLY prohibited. Diversity is a main focus of the blog as I support women of color and models of color. The site was launched in July 2007

History of the blog
MissWhoever You Are was started because there weren't many blogs written for and by women of color. I was tired of the same beauty advice being given to women of color and not enough coverage of models of color. I started it purely out of fun and it has grown into a community of women who love beauty, live for fashion and is willing to dish about Kim Kardashion and bad reality tv!

Future plans for the blog
Every month there are exciting series on the blog. The newest projects are Fashionista Diaries, makeup tutorials and interviews with key industry leaders.
