Hi! I'm Cindy, a 50-something professional woman who is obsessed with makeup, skincare, fashion and all things girly. I'm also the Editor of Prime Beauty, a beauty blog for women 40 and over and in the prime of their lives!

I was a model in my early 20's and this is where my love for makeup and fashion started!

About Prime Beauty

Prime Beauty focuses on Women 40 and over and in their prime! After taking care of children, husbands, animals, our parents and the odd (sometimes really odd) relative or two, it’s finally time for us! Woot Woot! Prime Beauty blog has lots of information on skincare and the skincare issues we older women face, makeup reviews of old favorites and new products (I'll be your guinea pig), makeup tips and tricks, and a little bit of fashion and style to boot! Some of my chic friends will stop by and give their views and a few of my makeup artist friends will check in with tips and tricks for us to try. The site was launched in 09/2009

History of the blog
Prime Beauty was launched in Sept. of 2009 because I was unable to find a beauty blog for my age group. There are lots of makeup and skincare blogs for the 20-30 year old crowd but nothing for us "mature" women. Our needs, like us, are special and I address those needs.

Future plans for the blog
A new feature called "Ask Ashley" is coming soon. Readers can email their questions and they will be answered by makeup artist Ashley. Currently, Frugal Friday covers quality drugstore products at a bargain price.
