Im a full time journalism major with minors that include art and sports management. Im a professional makeup artist that has started a website that educates all women of color about cosmetics and beauty. I LOVE MAKEUP. I started in Chicago at Columbia college doing medical,theater and glamour makeup applications. I just knew I would be a celebrity makeup artist eventually. I relocated to New York at the age of 19 with dreams of working in fashion. I figured I was a decent makeup artist and I have a friendly persona so I would be working immediately. Boy, was I wrong! So I enrolled in fashion school to discover I have a niche for marketing and branding. Fashion marketing was my favorite class along with sketching so I decided to drop out and focus on getting back in the beauty world. I somehow got lucky and was hired by a luxury cosmetic chain and I took off! I made top sales, innovative looks and made clients happy. I was trained buy the top brands in beauty and became equally educated in both beauty and skincare. I then began working on my portfolio. I finally decided to go back to school but instead of fashion I majored in my initial interest; journalism. I've always been a decent writer and I wanted to apply my experiences and knowledge as a makeup artist to a specific group of women and that is women of color.

Something not commonly know about Eryka:
I love art and art history. It is the cheapest and most practical way to travel back in time.
