About Shana Janelle
What makes the Shana Janelle blog special is I offer beauty info from both a consumer and a professional stand point. Being a beauty lover before I became a makeup artist I love to soak up as much knowledge as I can from every possible area I can. I give those who may not be able to afford to take the artist classes an insider view so that they can feel they are learning with me. The site was launched in January 2009
History of the blog
The blog was launched in early 2009 at the insistence of a great group of bloggers in the DC area known then as The Pretty Committee. The group of us as a whole has since disbanded but a few of us are still close and talk almost every day. I started it for fun and then it was called Tried and Truth Beauty because I was giving the truth about products I tried the format that it has now taken came as a result of me realizing that people really enjoyed getting info on makeup classes and the business of makeup, being successful in it.
Future plans for the blog
My future plans for the blog are simply to continue to grow and keep providing content that my readers appreciate. I plan on focusing a lot more on the classes, incorporating more videos and posting more often.
