I graduated in May 2010 with a BA Degree in Communications/Public Relations. I also have an AS. Degree in Broadcast Communications. Melissa-Emily started her blog because she felt the need to want to enhance any mother and female's life. Whether it had to do with beauty, fashion, baby related items, pregnancy, and/or motherhood.

I write for a specific target market that being mother's of all ages & beauty/fashion lovers! With that being said I love to find products (cosmetics, baby, fashion, pregnancy) that not only work but are affordable as well as quick/easy to use. This helps me better assist mothers & beauty lovers like myself who enjoy all things beauty, fashion and/or motherhood by finding products that will make their life a little more glamourous & won't burn a hole in their wallet! The site was launched in January 2011

History of the blog
Life Beyond Base was created to help inspire girls, women and mothers. After giving birth to my daughter I realized how little time I had to get dolled up and was on a mission to find products that were going work, were budget friendly & would not be time consuming. Life Beyond Base is a blog dedicated to offering tips in fashion, beauty, baby products and product reviews.

Future plans for the blog
I recently started a youtube channel where I would be posting hauls, product reviews, essential quick & easy tips any mother and/or beauty lovers can use, as well as n e thing else that subscriber's may request or may pertain to beauty, fashion, baby or motherhood/pregnancy. I believe this should increase readership of my blog in the coming months because it is a different form of reaching out to other people who may not have been able to stumble upon my blog before!
