About Mel

I like to blog daily. I have always had a niche for fashion and beauty. I am a qualified hair dresser and also doing my BTEC in Make-Up. I like trying new products, looking at trends and sharing my opinion with others. I am a full time mum to my children but with them at school I have a reasonable amount of free time to research for my blog. I also do YouTube reviews under the user name 30somethingmel

Something not commonly know about Mel:
People say I'm multi talented but I think I am just VERY creative. As I've said before I am a hair dresser, graphic designer, I make and design jewellery, an amateur photographer and am very good in Photoshop as I trained when I worked in publishing. I am a good copy editor too and have magazine experience working for their production department.

About 30 Something Mel

Enthusiastic, strong willed and obsessed with lengthening my eyelashes. I write my blog to the 'reader' as if I was holding a conversation with them. I like to make it personal, ask the reader questions. MY target market isn't about age, I have followers as young as 14 and as old as late 40's. Being in my mid thirties I find bloggers value my opinions as I'm older (Maybe wiser?) but I also value others expertise and advice. I am a good listener. I feel these things all contribute to making my blog good. The site was launched in May 2011

History of the blog
I have reviewed products for years dating back to 1995. I started reviewing products on Ciao and Dooyou back in 2002 and then progressed to other review companies, market research and then Boots. Recently I decided I would like to add to my reviewing and make it more personal so I started my own blog. It isn't just for reviews but also shares trends, tips and tutorials.

Future plans for the blog
I'd like to add more to my youtube channel which is linked to my blog, add more reviews, style tips and more tutorials (Especially hair based ones).
