About Laura
I am a life coach, image & beauty expert and the founder of BE YOU ONLY BETTER. Focusing on the concept of finding and nurturing your authentic self and locating your inner passions are the premises behind my business. My corresponding self-help and beauty blog features top makeup and skincare picks and self-help tips and has a great following.
I am also currently finishing my first manuscript entitled Too Sweet - The Musings and Insights of a Sassy Diabetic.
I work tirelessly as a mom to two young boys, ages 8 and 5, and am an entrepreneur-creating and introducing a number of unique products into the marketplace:
BELLY UPS - the worlds first maternity suspenders (www.bellyups.com) and BABY ROAD TRIP - a multi award winning travel video series for young children.

I am a Type 1 diabetic, and love any opportunity I can get to talk about my experiences. I absolutely adore tennis. I have been featured in a number of publications and was recently honored as one of Inc Magazine.com's Top 10 Entrepreneurs of the Year

About Be You Only Better
My posts are quick, direct, timely, interesting, cheeky and informative. It's the blog version of the skinny margarita. All the carbs are cut and it goes down real easy. The site was launched in December 2009
History of the blog
My pre-blog life is one of working in fashion and beauty PR. I am a beauty product junkie and an image consultant so it made perfect sense to start my own review site. Combine that with my life coaching experience and the self-help articles I write, and Be You Only Better is the perfect synergy of the blending of inner and outer beauty. Both count.
Future plans for the blog
I am going to be launching a book within the next 6- 8 months and will have many speaking appearances and television appearances that will send traffic to the site. I also will be doing quite a few give-a-ways and contests over the next few months. Additionally, I am in talks with some very big websites to do some writing for them which would also direct traffic to my site.
