About amy moon
I have a BFA from Depaul university. I Have been in the beauty industry for over 20 years. I am currently working as a stylist at NOVAK,a super hip, super fun salon in Echo Park and I LOVE what I do! My goal is to educate, empower and inspire, with a focus on eco-freindly, cruelty free products. I feel just as strongly about inner beauty as outer,so my blog not only gives great industry secrets and tips, but reminds you, in lovely little packages, to let the inner beauty shine so we can all see the real you!

About drugstorecowgirlz.com
Because I have been in the beauty industry for 20 years, I have obtained quite a bit of inside information about cosmetic companies, how they use ingredients, how they sell them, and, for example, how they can repackage the same item and sell to a different market. I like to focus on eco-freindly, cruelty free products and offer great ways to help you stay pretty on the inside. The site was launched in October 2011
History of the blog
My idea for this blog came from wanting to inform and inspire. From wanting to create a community that could bring people together, celebrating one of the oldest rituals in the history of the world. A place to inspire and educate, sending you out with your chin high, and a kick in your giddy-up!
Future plans for the blog
Considering my background as an actor, and that I have lived Los Angeles for 15 years, I have many contacts in the beauty, fashion, film and T.V. industries. I have a Manager at Red Rock Entertainment Development and we are working together to create the perfect PR profile for my blog.
