About Amber Joy

At this time I am a part time blogger but do wish to become a full time blogger in the future. I became a beauty blogger because I wanted to use my experiences with beauty products to contribute to the beauty community. In addition to blogging, I am an Independent Information Management Consultant and plan on going to graduate school for Higher Education Administration in the very near future.

Something not commonly know about Amber Joy:
I enjoy writing and always had a knack for it. I was also given a full-tuition scholarship to go to college for all 4 years.

My blog tends to feature makeup looks, products, and advice to suit the everyday life of the average person and also how to take things that may not seem so everyday-friendly and make them work for you. My blog's title, "Amber Likes" was inspired by my blog's simple rating system: Amber Likes, Amber Hates, Amber Loves, or etc. The site was launched in November 2011

History of the blog
My blog was launched in November 2011. I launched it because 1) I had amassed a large makeup collection and experiences that I wanted to do more with than just wear it, and 2) I was tired of looking up reviews/swatches/tips and not being able to find it so I figured I'd contribute to the community.

Future plans for the blog
I plan on introducing and expanding a number of series on my blog such Glam or Sham (examining the claims of "miracle" products) and Beauty School for the Blind (tips and looks specifically for glasses wearers).
