Hello fellow beauty lovers! I am Kathy Heinrich aka “The Makeup Detective”! I have been a life- long lover of beauty and a leader in the cosmetic industry for years. I began my professional career in the industry at Clarins cosmetics as a beauty advisor. My next step was with Clinique, building my craft for several years. I was then promoted to business manager for Lancome. I learned all aspects of the business during those busy and prosperous 5 years! My clientele was fantastic and it was there that my artistry soared! During my time with Lancome, I also pitch hit for Estee Lauder  My experience goes beyond the counter. As a freelance makeup artist for Lancome Cosmetics, I traveled throughout the region and attended makeup trend shows. The shows were amazing; hosting over 1000 people on a daily basis! During my tenure at Lancome, I held successful events for all my loyal beauty fans at our Lancome counter. Our make-up counter was at the center of the beauty world in my town! I am currently a freelance makeup artist and beauty blogger. They had to tear me away from my counter when I opted to take a job with hours that were more accommodating to my son’s needs as he grew up. Now that my handsome boy is going off to college, it is my time again! Back to beauty! I have been recruited to work at a top local hair salon performing makeovers, event makeup, advising on skin and makeup as well as hosting beauty seminars. My expertise also includes current trends in fragrance, fashion and accessories. Last year, I launched a beauty blog in April, www.themakeupdetectives.blogspot.com. This blog is my platform to review products, some that are sent to me, and many that I purchase myself. I sponsor giveaways which my readers adore. I currently have over 23,000 views on my blog. My blog was recently featured on www.gleambymelaniemills.com.

Something not commonly know about Detective Kathy:
I have a passion for all things beautiful. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to products, trends, and design. I study all types and brands of cosmetics. I spend an extensive amount of time researching products and educating myself on trends and industry demands. There are many things that make women feel beautiful – it is my belief that beyond the counter, confidence is the key when it comes to true beauty!
