My name is Chrissy; I'm a nerdy web designer and programmer with one guilty pleasure: Makeup! I, along with with two of my best friends, run myCosmeticBag together, where we share product reviews and beauty tips. We're also working on an even larger website that we hope will be more of a social community where users can review products too!

Something special about me is that I've been working in the web industry for eight years and have a lot of experience with running and developing websites, from conception to production - I know a lot about SEO, User Experience, and web technology, and so do my partners. This gives us a lot of insight that most bloggers might not have.

About myCosmeticBag
What's special about mcb is that it's run by three experienced web developers and designers. We have the ability to make fast and complex changes on the website at any given time. Another thing is that our content is written by six bloggers (3 of us are the cofounders, and the other 3 are volunteers). This means we have six unique perspectives from women of different ages and backgrounds. The site was launched in October 2009
History of the blog
myCosmeticBag was started in 2009 by three friends and colleagues - Stela, Chrissy, and Anisha – all working as web developers and designers in Southern California. As successful young ladies in a male-dominated industry, they were naturally magnetized to each other and often shared their experiences with makeup and beauty while coding and designing cutting-edge websites. The topic of conversation in their office fluidly went from geek-speak to chic-speak throughout their 9-5 work day. While lamenting about the limited resources women had online to manage their inventory of makeup products and share tips and reviews with other women who were dealing with the same beauty-woes as they were, the idea suddenly hit them that they should solve their own problem by creating their own website! Thus, myCosmeticBag was born – a website that will help women around the world, of all backgrounds and ages, to come together and share with each other their experiences with makeup and beauty, flaunt the contents of their cosmetic bags, and find products that suited others of the same physical attributes as their own. While they set to work on this new website, they also decided to start a blog so that Team mCB could share their own experiences with the beauty world with the hopes of helping others as well as developing a following for myCosmeticBag before its official website launch in June, 2012. So, in the meantime feel free to browse the myCosmeticBag Blog for some tips and ideas, product reviews, makeup giveaways and news about the progress of the even bigger website that’s in the works.
