About Jennifer

I have been blogging since 2008 and Love it! I grew up in the outskirts of Toronto where the ideal vision of beauty was something that I didn't possess. For 22 years I stayed away from makeup because I didn't think it was "for me". I started to blog not only for Women of Color but for anyone but just wants to try something new. Sometimes you need someone to answer your questions and talk to.. I'm that girl.

Something not commonly know about Jennifer:
I have a diploma in Broadcasting: Film, Television & Radio. I am able to produce, operate the camera, edit and direct for various mediums such as film, television and radio. I have a certificate in Make up Techniques and e-marketing. My full-time job involves being a social media strategist and video production.

Jennifer in the press:
I have had the opportunity to be backstage for the World Mastercard Toronto Fashion Week with Maybelline and Redken. I even got to sit front row at one of the shows as a guest of Maybelline. Some of my accomplishments have been guest blogging for Annabelle cosmetics, a feature on the press page of IMATS Toronto & a news article on myself for my makeup techniques course.

Spiced Beauty is not your typical beauty blog. I try my best to try out beauty products that I know my readers maybe hesitant to try. Although I am in Canada, I blog about items which can be found in North America. The site was launched in December 2008

History of the blog
I first started off blogging about beauty, fashion outfit of the days and hauls on my blog. Other bloggers found my posts engaging and shared my passion. Now I have a strong readership in Canada and worldwide.
