I'm a full time mom and beauty blogger. I started the blog after my son was born because I needed to have something that I was good at to relax me and make me feel important. I work part time retail so I'm always surrounded by beauty and fashion.

Something not commonly know about Lauren Shaw:
I had low self esteem growing up and knew I was pretty but hid behind it because I didn't want any attention drawn to me. As I got older, I learned to love my face and body. I love looking at myself now! I love that I can look as gorgeous as celebrities using makeup. I just love feeling beautiful.

About Goddess In Glasses

My blog shows you that you don't have to wear contacts to be gorgeous. My blog celebrates glasses!I offer different makeup looks to make your eyes really pop and sparkle. I wanted to showcase something different than the average tutorial. I wanted to offer this exclusivly to girls like me, who wear glasses on a daily basis. We need to wear our makeup much different than the average girl. We have to manupulate the makeup to reall showcase our face without lookling silly. I want girls to see that you can have gorgous looking makeup WITH your glasses on. The site was launched in May 12

History of the blog
I launched it in the midst of my post partum depression. I just had my son and I was going through a broken engagement so I needed something to take my mind off of all my problems and responsibilities; something for me. I needed to focus on myself as a person and this blog really helped me out of my black hole. When I started the blog I wanted to be a part of a different kind of social circle. I wanted to have a piece of me out there in the universe that could help others.

Future plans for the blog
I really want to film more videos and add in fashion. I want to branch out and showcase my style. Your makeup look has to enhance and compliment your outfit. Instead of just showing makeup looks, I could show an entire image to match; like image consulting. I am also drafting a beauty book; Maybe it'll be an online magazine that turns into a book. I really want to make a career in the beauty industry.
