About Zippy

My husband and I live on a fixed income, yet through the techniques that I’ve developed we’re able to maintain an enviable lifestyle. We live in an exclusive gated community in Florida, own 2 cars that are paid in full, travel extensively and have a very eventful social life. We dine out at high end restaurants and they cost us a fraction of what everyone else pays. And, we often dine out for FREE. I go to the movies for free, take in theatre at a deep discount and really enjoy life to the fullest! You may have seen me in a box at the finish line at the Kentucky Derby last year or schmoozing with the cast of Sex and the City at the premiere and after-party. Champagne Living teaches the tricks and techniques that I use to Live Rich! I do this by offering opportunities for travel, dining out, attending theatre and enhancing your lifestyle in ways that can help you live beyond your means without spending more.

Something not commonly know about Zippy:
I'm a former actress and dancer who ended up in the restaurant business, having owned restaurants in Newport and Providence, RI.

I take my readers inside "the mansion" and take them along with me on my travels, my shopping, my makeovers and more. I have a dedicated following who regularly interact on my blog and on facebook. I work hard to create posts that are engaging and fun to real, many with product placement. We've been featured on CNN.com, AOL, MSN.com, Careerbuilder.com and more. The site was launched in September 2008

History of the blog
I began Champagne Living in 2008 after ten years of retirement. It swiftly became a full time passion, that has taken me to events and travels and allowed me to bring all of them to my readers. I've had the opportunity to speak and teach at conferences regarding reviewing products and services. In July of 2009 I started a second blog, The Review Broads (http://www.thereviewbroads.com). We have been blurbed on books by James Patterson (including the front and back covers of 4 of his latest novels), Anita Shreve and more, and have been quoted in the Washington Post.

Future plans for the blog
As my social media outreach grows (currently with almost 10K twitter followers, 3K FB fans, etc.), I see Champagne Living growing into an online magazine with partnerships with other major sites. I'm in the planning stages of a business with Skimbaco Lifestyle to bring bloggers and brands together via exciting travel adventures and also write for Examiner, YahooShine and will continue to reach out to both mainstream and online media with my articles.
