About Joi
I'm a Christian wife, mother (3 daughters, 4 cats), and web publisher with over 14 blogs/websites. I love cooking, yoga, gardening, movies, walking, reading, coffee, hugging trees, and chocolate. I'm a fan of UK Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, and the Denver Broncos.
I love animals and children so much that it makes my knees weak. I'd fight to the end for either.
Joi in the press:
I had a snippet appear in Woman's World Magazine in a section devoted to Cake Mixes and our local newspaper (in Owensboro, Kentucky) did a story on my husband and I and our Web Publishing business.
Joi is also the editor of:

About Get Cooking
Get Cooking has always been more like a conversation between me and my wonderful visitors. I say what's on my mind and share my cooking tips, recipes, and reviews just as I would if the reader were sitting right in front of me.
The site was launched in June 2005
History of the blog
I actually started my recipe site, and then blog, as a way to collect, store, and organize recipes, advice, and information for my three daughters.
Future plans for the blog
I am hoping to grow my recipe blog (as well as my other 12 blogs) through social media - which I am only recently stepping into. I am proud of my blogs and websites, but I'm only recently making great strides in promoting them and generating traffic. The perfect picture of a laid-back southerner, I've always been content to simply sit by the welcome mat. However, I'm a fast learner and I realize that more visitors means more money to help my daughters with their college expenses, buy more things for the house, and save for a new vehicle I have my eye on!
