About Khalid Hosein

I like to say I've been blogging for 15 years since I started e-mailing my friends my opinionated links. I turned that into a mailing list, then into a blog almost 4 years ago. Even further back in summer 2004, I started a gadget blog (Gizmos for Geeks) with one of my friends, and we're still going strong today! Along the way, we also started a separate blog (Untethered Dreams) to talk about our adventures in making a living outside of the typical corporate world. As you can tell from my various blogs, I'm obviously a tech/Web geek, but love talking about business, politics, health and many other general topics.

Something not commonly know about Khalid Hosein:
My small claim to fame (that dates me a bit!): I came in 2nd in an annual video game contest that Atari ran back in the day and won my very first computer, an Atari 800 maxed out with 48K of memory - yes K!

About Gizmos for Geeks :: Whoever Has The Most Toys Wins!

While most other gadget blogs focus on the most recent news and especially rumors about upcoming products, Gizmos for Geeks stays grounded and talks about the stuff you can buy today. While we're not immune to talking about the next 'big' thing, the vast majority of our gizmos are but a few clicks and a few days away from your doorstep. The site was launched in June 2004

History of the blog
Gizmos for Geeks was started in 2004 by 2 sys admins who have a love for gadgets and technology. On this site, you will find articles featuring unique, practical and even luxury gadgets; straightforward technology news; full reviews; opinion pieces; shopping information and deals; and miscellaneous information that we feel our readers will find useful. Most of our readership (over 70%) is in the US, while the rest spans the whole globe. Gizmos for Geeks' founders, Khalid Hosein and Doug Felteau, have guest blogged for a number of other online publications including RoboCommunity, DVRPlayground, Real Tech News and Method Shop.

Future plans for the blog
What 'evil' gadget blogger in their right mind doesn't have a trick or two up their sleeve?! ;-)
