About LoveBarbados

I am an admitted beach bum, and my destination of choice is the Caribbean. My love for the islands eventually led me into starting my own travel agency. Prior to opening the agency, my corporate background experience was in office management and administration.

Something not commonly know about LoveBarbados:
Retired travel agent after 13 years in the business. Currently run an online booking & information site dedicated solely to the Caribbean. In addition I have several travel specific blogs, along with writing travel related articles.

LoveBarbados in the press:
My travel agency was mentioned in USA Today's reporting of Hurricane Hugo damage to the island of Grenada. Our agency was prominent in collecting online donations for the island.

History of the blog
Back in 2004, there were few blogs related to Barbados travel. Approximately 22% of our clients traveled to the island, and starting the blog was a logical business decision. At that time I had no idea how popular the blog would become outside our client base.

Future plans for the blog
In the next 2-3 months the blog will post interviews with local artists and photographers. The interview series will be expanded to local B&B's, Hotels and Restaurants.
