I'm a long term IT Admin who after 6-8 years decided to sell up my belongings and travel. Now I work in IT abroad while building up my travel blogging one country at a time.

About The Aussie Nomad

My blog is a story of packing up my life in Australia to live and travel around the world. Along the way I provide useful information (how much this cost, tips on getting your UK visa) so that people dreaming of travel can get the answers they seek, just like I wanted when I began to plan my trip. The site was launched in December 2009

History of the blog
I launched my blog at the start of December 09 as I found it really difficult to find the information I wanted about travelling to Europe. There were too many different answers to the same questions or they were just extremely vague. I detailed my journey providing as much information as I can to my readers to make their task easier.

Future plans for the blog
Now that I am living in London I hope to document as much as I can about living here. Enjoying the city and exploring the rest of Europe. I want to provide first hand experience from someone they can trust.
