About Vagabond3
We’re Jade, Bob and Rob, the founders/writers/editors of this site. Our niche is simply that we are young adults who want to travel and explore in any way possible. Sometimes we backpack, sometimes we flashpack, and sometimes we just rent a room, but we always make our decisions based on what is going to be the most fun and allow us to do the absolute most we can.
Something not commonly know about Vagabond3:
Unlike most travel blogs, we travel in what ever manner allows us to do the best, which means we are only limited by our average middle class budget and try to make the most out of everyday we are on the road (cause everyday on the road is one day away from out dogs – most of the time). Also, we can all touch our tongues to our nose, and have all fed and pet a kangaroo.

About Vagabond3
History of the blog
We decided to launch Vagabond3 after several months of dreaming and “Hey, we could do that!” conversations. Back in August 2009, Rob – a sarcastic, fun loving braggart – entered and won a Twitter contest for a 3-day trip to Sydney, Australia. But there was a catch: he would have to send a tweet once each minute while on the trip – for a total of 4,320 tweets! He would get to bring two friends with him to help accomplish the challenge; enter in the friends: Jade – a sassy, spunky cutie – and Bob – a wide-eyed adventure seeker. Together as a team, we were able to tweet up a storm – no bleeding fingers here! – and successfully complete the tweeting mission. As our reward, we received 3 around-the-world flights compliments of VAustralia and their partner Virgin Airlines. And now, with airfare to cities including Sydney, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, we’re getting ready to discover the world!
