About Christina
I have a fascination with languages, airports and airplanes, foreign places and cultures. And that is somewhat reflected in my life so far: I studied in Germany, went on to postgraduate studies in Finland, and earned my Master’s in Scotland. Work then took me straight to China, I have already been around the world through Japan, Malaysia, Australia, Fiji, the US, and Cuba, and I have recently spent some longer quality time in New Zealand and Canada. Oh, and I call London, UK my home. I work in international business and marketing strategy, which combines my interests in all things foreign and reaching out for new business opportunities, analysing markets, and understanding customers in other areas of the globe. Some of my other favourite pastimes include practising kung fu, yoga and running.

History of the blog
Since its inception in January 2011, Jandal Road (then: The Passport Philatelist) has celebrated a few milestones already: Competition winner: Blog4NZ In March / April 2011, Jandal Road participated in the Blog4NZ campaign, promoting tourism to New Zealand after the Christchurch earthquakes. The Blog4NZ campaign proved a social media success and quickly gained exposure through other media outlets. As a way to say thank you and to support these efforts, Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand and many tourism operators throughout the country got involved and offered prize packages for the winners, judging by quantity and quality of content produced and the international reach of the entries through social media. I am proud to say that Jandal Road was one of the three winners, winning the North Island prize.
