Online Impact Factor and global rankings
Konector is the official supplier of the Online Impact Factor. It is used as a standard measure to show how much influence a publication has online.
The Online Impact Factor is mainly used by digital marketers looking for influential publishers to promote, endorse or review their products or services. It measures reach, frequency and interaction. In other words, how many people come to a site, how often do they come to the site and how engaged they are when on the site.
For example, the Online Impact Factor will help marketers understand whether it is better to advertise on a site that is visited by 100,000 people 10 times a month, or on a site that is visited by a million people once. Additional variables are then included to measure the interaction, and you have an accurate score of how influential a site really is.
The Online Impact Factor is more complex than the traditional impact factor used by print journals. For instance the algorithm includes variables like unique monthly visitors, total visits and page impressions, average time spent on site, site activity and bounce rate. Several other variables are also taken into consideration to ensure that you have an accurate measurement of the influence of an online publication.
