Finding the Best Blogs and Influential Bloggers

Nadine Jolie has had the success most bloggers dream of

Nadine Jolie’s life is inspirational to thousands of bloggers out there. You may have seen her on The Today Show, heard her on the Glenn Beck Program or read about her in Cosmopolitan magazine. She has had the success most bloggers dream of - and that is why she is a featured blogger on Konector.

Nadine’s blog is ranked highly in the Konector Top 50 Beauty Blogs. Nadine is one of the first beauty bloggers, launching her original site jolienyc.blogspot.com in March 2005. She is also among the few top beauty bloggers who has worked as a beauty editor. She worked as a grooming assistant at FHM magazine, as the beauty assistant at Lucky Magazine, as the associate beauty editor at Ladies’ Home Journal and was then hired to be beauty editor at Seventeen magazine, before she left to blog full-time.

Nadine has enjoyed considerable exposure in the national and international press. She has appeared on live TV on The Today Show, Tyra Banks Show, Showbiz Tonight, CNN American Morning and Anderson Cooper 360. Additionally, she has been featured on the Op-Ed page of the New York Times, three times in the New York Times Style Section, four times in the Wall Street Journal, as well as been featured in Cosmopolitan (a two page article), Time, Glamour Italia, and Figaro Japan. Nadine has been covered as a “celebrity blogger” on Gawker, Jossip and Mediabistro, and has appeared as a radio guest on the Martha Stewart Living Show and Glenn Beck Program.

Nadine has also written two beauty books, both published by HarperCollins. Her first book, Beauty Confidential, made it into the Amazon.com top 10. It was also optioned for a beauty reality show by No Regrets Entertainment in New York. The show, currently titled The Beauty Whisperer, is based on Nadine’s life as a beauty blogger and all-around beauty expert, as she helps women translate the confusing language of beauty. It is being shopped to various networks. Her second book, Confessions of a Beauty Addict, is an insider’s look at the beauty publishing industry. HarperCollins has sent Nadine on two national book tours, where she spoke at colleges around the country and gave beauty advice.

VanityFair.com, the Huffington Post, C Magazine, TotalBeauty.com and BettyConfidential.com all use Nadine for freelance work, and she has written for Jane, Cosmo, Lucky, LHJ, New York Daily News, and Fashion Week Daily.

As if Nadine has not been busy enough with all of the above - and staying in contact with her 2,400 friends on Facebook and 1,700 followers on Twitter - she has also spent the past 9 months co-creating a skincare line, currently set to launch in December, and is Editorial Director of a new beauty website debuting in August.
